Our Beginning In Hawaii
We’ve been living in Hawaii for 5 months! Hawaii is absolutely beautiful and we love being so close to the beach. There are so many amazing experiences and memories that we have. We found a love for snorkeling, we're learning how to surf, and made some pretty cool friends. Even with all the good, there was lots of bad. When we first moved to the North Shore of Oahu, we lived in a renovated tool shack behind a family’s house. We were not accepted into the married housing on-campus (since the wait list is 3 semesters long) and all other off-campus apartments and studios were taken. So we settled for the shack, 3 miles away from campus and work. The shack was a tiny room that barely had enough room to fit the 2 twin beds that were pushed together. Inside the room were the 2 twin beds, a mini fridge, 2 sets of plastic drawers and a small desk. There was only enough room to walk, but the door couldn’t be open all the way or else it hit the bed.
